Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless poem dreams of a world "where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls." I have been fortunate to find a microcosm of that world here at UC Berkeley. This series is an attempt to capture that spirit. It will feature stories of the remarkable people we meet from every corner of the globe - individuals whose journeys and aspirations reflect a world where ‘the head is held high’.
