How we work

We’re social. Very social. A big part of our culture is Twitter. After all, Rug Radio started on Twitter Spaces. Twitter is where many of our creators host shows, where Farokh spends hours of his day, and where we, Rug Radio, host our weekly Town Halls.

We’re decentralized – in ways you might not expect. Our team moves fast and sometimes we have to choose the right medium for conversations. Sometimes those conversations happen on Slack, through text, on the phone, in Discord, on Zoom…you get the point. If this paragraph stresses you out, we might not be a good fit!

We’re worldwide. This is a 100% remote role. We are a fully remote team based in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. For this role, we welcome applicants from anywhere as long as the hours you choose have several hours of overlap with the East Coast US and Pacific US time zones.

The job

Rug Radio is looking for a Head of Social Media to help manage and grow Rug Radio’s social presence. Your role will be pivotal to communicating who Rug Radio is and what we do. The role requires a passion for all things web3 - especially NFTs, DAOs, and Tokenomics! As the Head of Social Media you will oversee our social media presence and work closely with the Rug Radio team and its community. This role is perfect for someone who is strategic, creative, and capable of executing with little oversight.
Below are some of the key elements of your role. As we are just getting started, there will be things we don’t expect within the fast paced nature of the ecosystem, so consider this the fundamentals of the role and the rest we will figure out together!
What you will be working on...
- Design and develop a social media content plan in coordination with the Rug Radio team.
- Responsible for social research, planning, calendaring, creative development, publishing, moderation, and reporting of social content.
- Schedule posts daily promoting Rug Radio, its community, & creators.
- Highlight project announcements and updates via Twitter.
- Amplify our creators through the Rug Radio Twitter account.
- Attend Town Hall meetings from the Rug Radio Twitter account.
- Interact with our followers via the company’s social media accounts.
- Identify opportunities and evaluate effectiveness of social media efforts.-
We are looking for someone with……
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience producing social media content on a regular basis.
- The ability to create compelling content and visuals with little direction.
- Experience working across major social media platforms and managing content.
- Knowledge and understanding of the web3 space, specifically NFTs & DAOs.
