Lead DevOps Engineer

As the Lead DevSecOps Engineer at OTee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of industrial automation and control systems while ensuring the highest standards of security throughout our development and deployment processes. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will drive secure product design, implement robust security practices, and manage secure cloud infrastructure to develop groundbreaking solutions that meet and exceed our customers' expectations. 💪 Key Responsibilities

DevOps Engineering

- Design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning ensuring consistent and reliable deployment of cloud applications and services on AWS EKS
- Create, manage and optimize our Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, resilience, and security hardening
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure the health, performance, and security of our services.
- Implement and maintain Pub/Sub data frameworks and caching mechanisms (Redis, NATS etc.)
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform with security best practices and policy-as-code frameworks
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices following ZeroTrust principles and OWASP
- Manage AWS security services including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager and conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability remediation

Technical Input

- Play an important role in contributing to the product vision and roadmap with security considerations at the forefron
- Conduct comprehensive security-focused user research to understand customer security pain points, compliance requirements, and trust needs
- Drive data-driven product decisions and security improvements
- Develop a deep understanding of industrial automation security landscape, ensuring our products remain secure, competitive and compliant
- Evaluate and integrate new security technologies and practices relevant to industrial automation

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- ~5 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps roles
- ~3 years of hands-on experience with cloud services
- ~3 years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience with industrial systems security or OT/IT convergence is highly preferred

(Technical) Skills

DevSecOps Tools & Practices:
- CI/CD security integration with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline
- Security scanning tools: SAST, DAST, SCA
- Monitoring and logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and similar
- Secrets management: AWS Secrets Manager, Kubernetes secrets
Security Frameworks & Standards:
- Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices
- Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, SANS
- Knowledge of industrial security standards (IEC 62443) is a plus
- Some compliance experience (SOC 2, GDPR)
Programming & Automation:
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for security automation
- Shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automation tooling

- Security-First Mindset: Ability to think like an attacker while building defensive solutions, with deep understanding of threat landscapes and risk assessment
- Interest in the Industry 4.0: extra brownie points if you know what a PLC is and understand OT/IT security convergence
