Fathiah Raihan is a henna artist, director and arts therapist making from the south-eastern suburbs of Narrm (Melbourne). Her practice is intimately driven by process, centring conversations around ritual, cultural memory and belonging/place that unravel over time. Through inai (henna), she is interested in skin as sites for continuous re-invention.
As an emerging practitioner, she is held and shaped by the continuum of Bla(c)k and Brown healers, community leaders and artists in their knowledge of collective healing, resilience and co-creation in her work. She believes in the agency of the arts to re-centre, shift and create sustainable futures for generations to come.
