-Lead and contribute to the
configuration design of UAVs based on mission and performance requirements
-Conduct mission-level simulations and trade studies to evaluate design choices
-Analyze and optimize aircraft stability, control, and performance characteristics
-Use low-fidelity tools such as OpenVSP for early-stage design and visualization
-Support or perform mid-fidelity coupled simulations, including aerodynamic analysis (e.g., CFD), where applicable
-Collaborate closely with systems engineers, propulsion specialists, and flight test teams
-Provide model data and insights to the Flight Control team
-Contribute to the transition from concept to prototype and ultimately, successful flight
