Application for Registration as a Shepparton Foodshare Recipient

Foodshare was established in 2012 as a result of community need. 144 agencies are now registered to collect our food for the people they support across the Goulburn Valley and beyond. These registered agencies include emergency relief services, schools, faith organisations, neighbourhood houses, community meals programs and more. The people they support are diverse and include individuals, families, children, the homeless, First Nations people and people from our multicultural community, including new arrivals and refugees.

Since inception, Shepparton Foodshare has distributed 4.4 million kilograms of food or the equivalent of 8.8 million meals. Foodshare is the only local food rescue agency, there is no other agency offering the services that Foodshare does locally. Shepparton Foodshare not only plays an integral role in our region’s daily food relief needs, it also plays a vital role in getting food to people in need during times of emergency.

Please note, Shepparton Foodshare relies on generous donations and food rescues to supply food to people that need it most.

We don’t operate like a supermarket where we know what we will have on the shelves from week to week to fill orders therefore often items may be in short supply or not available at all.

It is for this reason restrictions on some items may be put in place and enforced by our volunteers.  These restrictions help us provide an equitable food supply across agencies registered to collect our food.
