Run To Raise 44

Place
San Diego Convention Center
111 Harbor Dr.San DiegoSan Diego, CA US 92101 The Run To Rai$e 44 will begin at Convention Center Park, located just southeast of the San Diego Convention Center along Harbor Drive. This open waterfront space provides an ideal starting point for participants and supporters, with convenient parking, nearby restrooms, and easy access from the 12th & Imperial Transit Center. The park’s flat terrain and scenic bayfront setting make it both accessible and inspiring—offering a perfect launch point for the day’s endurance challenge.
Route Overview

The first leg of the run will cover approximately 27 miles, following a loop designed for both endurance and accessibility. Each subsequent leg will use the same route with fewer rotations, with the second leg covering one full direction of the course (about 9.5 miles).

This route was chosen carefully to minimize traffic, avoid city congestion, and reduce stoplight interruptions, allowing for a smoother and safer experience for everyone involved. It also provides convenient access points and nearby restroom facilities—important for both runners and supporters throughout the day.

Trails were intentionally avoided to ensure the course remains easily accessible for those driving, walking, or spectating along the route. The full route map will be available on the event page for anyone who wishes to follow along or join in for a segment.

Description

Run To Raise™ is an endurance-meets-impact initiative founded by venture capitalist and Marine veteran Paul Anthony Claxton.

Every year around October 15th, his birthday, he’ll run his birthday in miles in 24 hours. No frills, no hype, just grit. The mission: to prove that discipline, purpose, and execution outlast everything else.

With this year being the prototype event (no donations accepted for this year's event), it will forge the stage for next year’s "Run To Raise 45" mile event, which will feature sponsorships, donations, and founder applications. All proceeds will go to a winning startup that exemplifies resilience, innovation, and impact.

Every mile represents a founder’s grind: the exhaustion, the setbacks, and the relentless forward motion. Run To Raise™ is where endurance meets entrepreneurship. It’s not just about running far; it’s about raising what matters.

Volunteer Support̲

Throughout the 44-mile run, Gatorades, probiotics, bananas, granola bars, and water will be supplied by Paul Anthony Claxton for volunteers to hand off along the route. Your help keeping the mission fueled — literally — is greatly appreciated. Every pass, every mile, and every bit of support counts toward finishing strong and proving what endurance and purpose can do together.
And this isn’t a spectator sport; you’re welcome to join Paul on the run. Whether it’s one mile or ten, your presence and energy make a real difference. Every step alongside him represents the founders, creators, and communities we’re all running for.
Run To Raise 44 Date:
Start Time: Wednesday October 15, 2025, 8:00am PDT
End Time: Thursday October 15, 2025, 8:00am PDT

About Paul Anthony Claxton:

Paul Anthony Claxton is a U.S. Marine decorated combat veteran who became a venture capitalist and has been a long-time competitive endurance athlete and health practitioner of mind, body, spirit concepts.

Paul's deep interest in athletics began during his time in high school where he participated on teams in varsity wrestling, junior varsity cross country, and varsity powerlifting. This interest further expanded during his time in the physically demanding environment of the Marine Corps.

During his service in the Marine Corps, he led intense remedial conditioning programs designed to rebuild Marines who had fallen below standard. While in the Marine Corps he also became a certified suicide prevention instructor under the organization. He has been a leisurely practitioner of the jiu jitsu martial art system, former amateur powerlifting champion and an active competitor in half-marathons and other endurance events.

Currently serving as the Managing Partner of Digerati Investments and Reciprocity ROI, he is recognized for backing AI-native startups and designing smarter, milestone-based funding models that align founders and investors around execution and accountability.

Being a previous Stinger Missile Gunner for the U.S. Marine Corps, Claxton channels the same discipline and grit from his military career into entrepreneurship and ultra-endurance running, raising awareness and support for founders committed to creating real impact.

“Run to Raise” is part of that mission, proving that endurance, discipline, and purpose remain the foundation of success in business, in life, and on the road.

Paul In Action Over The Years
Physical endurance has always been a cornerstone of Paul’s discipline and mindset. From military conditioning as a Stinger Missile Gunner to years of competitive endurance training, these moments capture the evolution of that grit in motion. Every mile, repetition, and challenge represents the same drive that fuels his work with founders today—proving that consistency, sacrifice, and mental toughness are transferable from the battlefield and the road to the boardroom. Program Overview

The Run To Rai$e Hackathon is a Reciprocity ROI–administered program designed to convert founder execution into measurable traction and investor-grade data. Each cohort operates as a live diligence cycle, helping startups produce verifiable market signals within a one- or four-week sprint. Founders may begin entering the competition on January 1, 2026, with the inaugural cohort focused on demonstrating actionable proof of traction, validation, and funding readiness. On that same date, the full competition curriculum will be released on the future runtoraise.org website, providing detailed program materials, submission guidelines, and judging criteria. The program will begin accepting donations, sponsorships, and grant funding on April 1, 2026, following the formal establishment of the Run To Raise Foundation as a registered nonprofit. Until that time, all operations, data handling, and compliance oversight will remain under Reciprocity ROI LLC, which administers the program in accordance with SEC Regulation D Rule 506(b), FINRA Rule 4511, and SEC Rule 17a-4 to ensure transparency, accountability, and institutional integrity.
