Roles and Responsibilities:


Seeking a hands-on, strategic Senior DevOps Engineering Manager to lead our Productivity and Infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in DevOps, with extensive experience using tools like GitLab for source code management (SCM) and DevOps automation for CI/CD pipelines, as well as a deep understanding of infrastructure automation, monitoring, and scaling best practices.


This role requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership abilities to oversee a small growing team that drives continuous improvement in our development pipelines, tools, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to build and maintain a robust, high-performance infrastructure that enables the smooth delivery of products.


Key Responsibilities:


• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure solutions.

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring high-performance and a collaborative, agile culture.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.

• Drive team development, including conducting regular performance reviews, setting clear goals, and identifying growth opportunities.


DevOps Strategy & Execution:

• Define and execute the DevOps strategy for improving productivity and infrastructure reliability across the organization.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other DevOps tools.

• Manage infrastructure automation and orchestration to ensure a consistent and scalable environment for development, staging, and production.

• Build and optimize workflows that improve developer productivity, including environment provisioning, code integration, and deployment automation.


Infrastructure & Cloud Management:

• Design and manage the infrastructure architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

• Implement tools for monitoring, alerting, and incident management to proactively address infrastructure issues.

• Ensure the infrastructure is optimized for cloud-native technologies and works efficiently with containerized applications and microservices.

• Stay up to date on emerging infrastructure technologies, evaluating their relevance and potential integration into our workflows.


Collaboration & Cross-functional Work:

• Work closely with product engineering, software development, and operations teams to understand requirements and improve the DevOps process.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that infrastructure and development processes meet organizational and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate with leadership to align DevOps initiatives with business goals and product roadmaps.

• Promote a culture of automation, continuous delivery, and operational excellence across the engineering organization.


Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Continuously evaluate and improve development and deployment workflows, ensuring that best practices and industry standards are followed.

• Implement new DevOps tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve process efficiency and increase development velocity.

• Promote a culture of learning and experimentation within the team to explore and implement innovative solutions.
