We're seeking a talented freelance content curator with a passion for Lagos to join our team! If you're a skilled wordsmith with a knack for concise, witty writing, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Curate/Write engaging guides and articles on Lagos' culture, food, entertainment, and events that capture our reader’s interests and are highly shareable. (min. 2-3 articles/week)
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information
-Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement, incorporating keywords and best practices.
- Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content
Requirements:
- An active, demonstrated and sustained interest and knowledge of Lagos' culture, food, and event scene**
- Proven content creation or writing experience (published articles or a strong portfolio)
- Great research skills and a good eye for aesthetics/ detail
- Ability to write concisely and wittily
- Familiarity with digital content platforms, social media channels, and content management systems
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines
- You’re strategic and creative, but most of all, you get things done.
- You’re smart, fun, funny, empathetic, and kind.
Nice-to-Haves
- A firm understanding of copyright as it relates to content use. An understanding of copyright law and other legal matters.
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for content optimization
Time commitment: 3 days/week [Per-time]
