Self-screen Quiz for new Pet Visiting Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in joining the HBSPCA Pet Visiting Program. Please review the list below to confirm your pet meets the program requirements before completing the Self-Screen Quiz.

Pet Ambassador qualifications: • Pet must be a minimum of 1 year old and have been under your care for at least 6 months

• Pet must be spayed/neutered and be able to respond to basic commands

• Possess up-to-date record of required vaccinations (Rabies, Da2ppv, Bordatella, etc.)

• Eager to meet and interact with new people, without becoming overly excited (i.e. jumping, mouthing, pawing)

• Pet reacts well when faced with distractions, such as unfamiliar sounds or objects

Pulls to go see them

Wags tail and watches strangers, hoping they will come say "hello"

Ignores them and continues walking

Hides behind me or avoids them

Barks

Happy, excited, loves life

Gentle soul, loves everyone

Easily intimidated, the world is a scary place

Nervous & hesitant when experiencing something new
