Thurston County Grocery Fairies Participation Form

Thank you for your interest in Thurston County Grocery Fairies! TCGF is a short term project intended to redistribute money from people who are financially abundant to people affected by the shutdown of SNAP and WIC. This program is for anyone who lives in Thurston County and anyone who is part of the Squaxin Island Tribe, in recognition that much of Thurston County occupies unceded Squaxin land.

This form is for people who need help with grocery money, who want to help out in non-monetary ways, or both.

Money will be distributed in the form of grocery store gift cards. We will buy and distribute grocery gift cards on a rolling schedule as donations come in and as these forms are submitted. If we are short on funds, we will prioritize children, people who are pregnant, people who are elderly, people with food restrictions, and people who have medical or access needs that are not easily met through food banks.

Everything offered here depends on contributions and volunteer time. We cannot promise funding, rides, or grocery delivery, but we will do our best. We believe that food is a basic right, and that Thurston County has enough resources to make sure everyone has enough.

If you need money for groceries, how much do you need for 1 month? (This number should be similar to your usual SNAP or WIC benefits. If you are able to meet most of your needs by going to the food bank, consider asking for less. It is also ok to ask for more if you need to. Everyone's situation is different. )
