TIME COMMITMENT

A full partnership with Magnolia Project requires a time commitment, including several administrative-level meetings, staff meetings, and teacher training sessions. The exact time commitment depends on the need of the district and the choice of program.

I acknowledge that there is a time commitment to participating in Magnolia Project programs, and I am willing to commit our school to follow through with all required meetings and training sessions

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

Magnolia Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do charge a fee for all of our programs. Our fees are 60-70% below the market rate, compared to other educational service providers.

Service fees depend on the size of the school and/or district, the population of students served by the program, and other factors (such as the economic outlook of the city where the district is housed).

We present a budget for schools/districts and work with them to figure out what they can fairly contribute. We typically do not turn schools/districts away if they cannot afford all aspects of our program.

I acknowledge that there will be a cost to our school/district to participate in Magnolia Project. Costs do vary by school and/or district. Magnolia Project works closely with the school/district to develop a final budget for services.

PARTNER COMMITMENT

Magnolia Project is a partner to school districts. To be a full partner, we ask that you acknowledge the following:

1. Partners understand the importance of internships, and externships and place them at equal value to the academic work taking place in the classroom.

2. Partners understand that internship, or externship programs require flexibility.

3. Partners value the unique offerings of the Magnolia Project internship and externship sites and commit to working collaboratively with business partners and members of the Magnolia Project staff.

4. Partners feel comfortable working in joint partnership with the Magnolia Project staff and are eager to offer feedback and jump in to support to improve internship, or externship experience for the benefit of all students.

I acknowledge the partner commitments, and I am willing to work collaboratively and creatively with my staff, especially in our first year with the program, to make the program a success.
