Fascism Response Quiz. What would you do?

The "Fascism Response Quiz" is hopefully an educational tool, which is designed to help individuals reflect on how they might respond in the face of rising authoritarianism or democratic backsliding.
Drawing inspiration from the historical rise of fascism in Nazi Germany and echoing contemporary global challenges, the quiz presents 42 scenarios touching on civil liberties, institutional trust, propaganda, discrimination, and personal responsibility.
By selecting responses across a spectrum of issues—such as access to healthcare, freedom of the press, reproductive rights, immigration, and surveillance—you’ll receive a cumulative score that aligns with one of eight historical roles, from active resistance to authoritarian collaboration.
This is not a diagnostic test, but a resource to promote awareness, critical thinking, and conversation about democracy, civic responsibility, and the moral choices we each face in times of political crisis. Answer each question honestly. The quiz is anonymous and does not collect personal identifying such as names, IP addresses or device data. It only records your selections and the date and time of submission to analyze response trends over time. Your data cannot be linked back to you, and no identifiers are stored, ensuring full anonymity in compliance with data protection regulations.
