Become a mentor for DIGIBLUE

We invite educators, scientists, artists, civic innovators, and digital experts to join us as mentors for DigiBlue. During this transnational online hackathon, youth create powerful digital stories about ocean and river sustainability. This event is part of DigiEduHack 2025 and the EU4Ocean Challenge, empowering the next generation of blue citizens to shape democratic and sustainable futures.

As a mentor, you’ll guide youth teams in areas such as digital storytelling, AI-supported video creation, marine and freshwater sustainability, civic engagement, and cultural heritage. Your role is to inspire, provide feedback, and help young participants turn ideas into compelling story prototypes. The hackathon language is English.

General commitments: * November 7, 14:30 CET (optional, but highly recommended) pre-hackathon Mentors and Jury get-together for practicalities
* November 15, between 10 and 15 CET, 20-minute chats with different teams on their challenges (focus on building the purpose, story, scripting and digital tools)
* November 16, between 9 and 12 CET, 15-minute chats to support the 3-minute pitch creation (focus on communication, presentation best practices)
You can contribute online during these times, supporting teams as they co-create stories that will be shared across Europe.
