Other business priorities take precedence over tackling the environmental, health and food and agriculture system impacts of products and services.

Our portfolio includes some “green / ESG” products and services that clearly link to positive health outcomes, but these represent a small proportion of the total range. There may be a flagship programme integrating climate and health into our work, but it’s siloed from mainstream product and service offerings.

Suppliers lack understanding of the depth, scale and urgency of the climate crisis, and its health impacts on people, the planet and our food and agriculture systems, as well as the role those systems currently play in contributing to the climate crisis.

We are beginning to work with our suppliers - for example, as part of tackling our Scope 3 emissions - to encourage or compel them to make shifts that would have positive climate and health co-benefits, but there is an inconsistent approach.

We have joint initiatives with many suppliers to accelerate action on Scope 3 and have identified collective actions at the intersection between climate and health.

We do not actively engage with regulators, policymakers, our peers and competitors, or our investors on the climate and health agenda.
