PEOPLE OPS & OFFICE SPECIALIST / MANAGER

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Wayfarer is looking for a strong People and Office Manager who is ready to take on all People Operations coordination along with some Office Management and administration supporting the Chief People Officer and CEO respectively.

This person can be Tokyo based with some travel on-site to Kyoto/Osaka as necessary. 

Managing all People Ops administration and employee lifecycle processes independently, escalating any issues to the CPO You will also be integral in creating a strong company culture by initiating and leading the main company events to help foster a strong sense of company culture. Support with driving and managing end-to-end recruitment coordination matters Answer any queries from stakeholders and employees as the frontline to HR service delivery while managing all HRIS data-entry and updates To support generating any HR reports and engagement surveys and managing other Japanese government related paperwork for submission as required - both for office administration and HR administration. Office Administration: i.e. Setting up phone plans, communicating with HR and finance vendors, manage bank accounts and administration, applying for grants/subsidies and supporting business administrative support across the company.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Fluency in Japanese and English Prior experience in real estate/tech/hospitality industries Standalone HR manager/coordinator experience that can run, manage and follow through on tasks independently Candidate sourcing on job boards and support on recruitment strategy and operations Able to communicate across all levels throughout the org, especially senior stakeholders 
Experience across various industries as a stand-alone HR operator
