Golden Drift Fly Fishing, Privacy Policy and Ts & Cs

1. Booking & Payment

All guided trips must be booked in advance through our official booking form or in writing.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

Full payment must be made no later than 14 days before the scheduled trip.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled trip will not be refunded.

Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance may be eligible for a refund, less a 10% admin fee.

No refunds will be given for no-shows, late arrivals, or early departures.

In the event of extreme weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen emergencies, Golden Drift Fly Fishing reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips. In such cases, a full refund or alternate date will be offered.


3. Client Responsibilities

All clients must hold a valid fishing license where required. We can assist with license applications if arranged at least 7 days before the trip.

Clients must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations that may affect their participation in outdoor activities.

You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by the guide at all times.


4. Assumption of Risk

Fly fishing and outdoor activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept all risks associated with the activity, including but not limited to: injury, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, and environmental hazards.

Golden Drift Fly Fishing, its owners, and guides are not liable for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss incurred during your participation.


5. Weather and Natural Conditions

Weather in the Drakensberg and Sterkfontein area can be unpredictable. Trips will go ahead rain or shine, unless conditions are deemed unsafe by the guide.

We do not guarantee catches or specific fishing conditions, as these depend on nature and cannot be controlled.


6. Equipment

You may bring your own gear, or request to use gear provided by Golden Drift Fly Fishing.

Any loss or damage to loaned equipment due to client negligence may be billed to the client.


7. Photography & Marketing

By attending a trip, you consent to the use of photos or video taken during the trip for marketing and promotional purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing before the trip.


8. Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of South Africa.

Any disputes arising shall be handled in a competent court within South Africa.
