The book follows the romantic relationship between two women, one of whom is disabled. It also explores themes of emotional abuse from a parent, religious trauma, pregnancy, references to past bullying, cheating (not between the leads), references to past intimate partner violence, and consensual intimate scenes. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, please don't sign up.
