A more open, equitable data ecosystem for charities

Introduction

This is a survey (sorry). But we will give you or a charity of your choice £50 for completing it. It is part of this work. We are trying to build a 'database' of how charities use, provide and get value from data, as well as the relationships that form with others through this.
We would like you to tell us a specific example of how you use data in your work. We want to hear from all charities - big, small, data-savvy or data-unsure - and those who work with them. There are no right or wrong responses. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
For example (but not to limit you), you could tell us about data you collect to monitor how a programme is performing, data you need to provide to a regulator, data that helps you to target where you work and for/with whom, or data you use in funding applications.
The survey will loosely be structured about understanding your example in the following way:

What's in it for you?
Good question, and we appreciate that surveys are a pain. Well, we're hoping that this piece of work will highlight and shift where funding should be focused to support better, more open and equitable use of data from, about or within the charity sector. And there's £50 for you or a charity of your choice when you complete the survey - just provide your email address in the survey and we'll get in touch.
To do this, we need the evidence to make the case for funding things differently, and in a way that works for everyone in a practical way. That's where this survey comes in.
