Turn your old clothes into handmade paper in this special workshop exploring the ancient craft of papermaking. Using traditional techniques—cutting, shredding, heating, blending, scooping, pressing, and drying—we'll transform textile waste into a sheet of paper.
Together we'll dive into the material properties of fiber and fabric, and experiment with slow-making as a response to the speed of fashion. Most importantly we'll have fun soaking our hands in water and textile pulp and observing the satisfying action of pressing water out of your freshly made wet sheet of paper.
