Senior Technology Writer (Nigeria, Fully-Remote)

Our team possesses combined skills and decades of experience in tech journalism, business intelligence, social media content creation, web development, project management, UI design, digital marketing, SEO, product management, and data analysis.

The Person

Techloy is looking to hire two senior technology writers with knowledge and experience covering consumer technology products, apps, gaming, and streaming services daily. The ideal person must be passionate, yet playful, with a deep-seated interest in the consumer tech landscape, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, daily news environment. The person should be quick to learn, possess versatile skills, embrace growth, be precise, and understand processes.

The Responsibilities

+ Research and produce SEO-friendly articles on consumer technology products, apps, gaming, and streaming services daily.
+ Create bi-monthly information marketing content about consumer technology products and services using multimedia.
+ Work closely with the editorial team and the creative team to publish our weekly and monthly newsletters.

The Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital media, with at least 1 year in a senior editorial role, preferably for a technology website.
+ Demonstrable expertise and passion for technology topics, including but not limited to software, hardware, AI, cybersecurity, consumer electronics, and emerging technologies.
+ Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and proofreading skills with a keen focus on detail.
+ Strong understanding and application of SEO principles and content marketing best practices.
+ Knowledge of content management systems, such as Ghost, understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite of apps, and project management tools.
+ Adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
+ Knowledge and understanding of visual storytelling, podcasting, and data visualization.
+ Ability to collaborate on and/or take ownership of projects and drive deliverables.
+ Drive, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor.

The Remuneration

+ Based on standards within the technology media industry, along with exciting perks.
+ Depending on skills and experience.
+ The salary range is between ₦3,000,000 and ₦4,200,000 per annum.
