This first version of our Code of Ethics is focused on documenting ethical considerations specific to the narrow scope of foresight methodology practices. This version is not meant to be prescriptive but to highlight best practices and guidelines, and to create a context for discussions. is an attempt to:
- Foster discussions on ethical norms in the foresight field
- Document the ethical responsibilities of our work
- Signal to the public and to member clients that APF members are committed to the ethical and best practices of the foresight discipline.
The current version has been reviewed by dozens of APF members around the world. Some feedback has been incorporated and other perspectives are slated for incorporation as the Code matures into a more comprehensive document.
