WARNING: SKATEBOARDING IS AN EXTREME SPORT AND HIGH-RISK ACTIVITY. PARTICIPATION CARRIES A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY, PERMANENT DISABILITY, OR DEATH. READ THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Thrashers King of the Park (the "Competition") and to use the competition facilities, I, the undersigned participant (and/or Parent/Legal Guardian), hereby agree to the following terms:

I acknowledge and fully understand that the sport of skateboarding, including all related practices, warm-ups, and competition, is an EXTREME TEST of a person's physical and mental limits and is an inherently dangerous activity.

I am fully aware of and accept the risks, dangers, and hazards associated with the Competition, which include, but are not limited to:

I HEREBY VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO ACCEPT AND SOLELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE, OVERSIGHT, OR FAULT OF THE RELEASEES.

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby WAIVE, RELEASE, FOREVER DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the organizers, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, facility owners, property lessors, and their respective agents, officers, directors, volunteers, and employees (collectively, the "RELEASEES") from:

I hereby agree to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS Menlyn Skate Park (Pty) Ltd t/a Thrashers Padel & Skate the Releasees from and against any and all liabilities, claims, demands, costs, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of any injury, death, or property damage suffered by me OR caused to a third party by my acts or omissions while participating in the Competition.

I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I hereby consent to receive any emergency medical treatment that may be deemed necessary in the event of injury, accident, or illness during the Competition.

I agree to observe and obey all posted rules, warnings, and instructions, and to follow any oral instructions or directions given by the event officials or staff. I acknowledge that I must wear all mandatory protective gear, including a properly fitted and secured helmet (if required by the event rules or local law).

If the participant is under the age of eighteen (18), I, the undersigned Parent or Legal Guardian, represent that I have legal authority to sign this Agreement on the minor's behalf. I have read and explained the provisions of this Waiver and Release to the minor and fully assume all risks and responsibility for the minor's participation. I agree to indemnify and hold the Releasees harmless from any and all claims brought by or on behalf of the minor.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State/Province of Gauteng. If any portion of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
