Motivations

I collect vintage computers and related hardware.

I want to run programs that other people have written for the MEGA65.

I want to use the MEGA65 to learn how to program computers in general.

I have a specific project I want to work on that requires a MEGA65.

On-device development: I primarily want to write programs directly on the MEGA65.

Cross development: I primarily want to write programs for the MEGA65 using a modern computer.

My preference for on-device development vs. cross development depends on the language, tools available, or project.
