Welcome to the 3D Printing & Digital Design Professional Development Program!

This comprehensive professional development opportunity is designed to equip New Jersey educators with cutting-edge skills in 3D printing and digital design to enhance STEM education in your classroom. The program is developed and delivered by Emergent Futures Lab, a leader in innovative educational experiences combining digital design, 3D printing, and innovation skills for the 21st century.

These courses will be transformative across a broad range of faculty including: Computer Science, Tech Integrators, Robotics, Arts, Humanities, and any teacher interested in a transdisciplinary approach.

This valuable professional development program (valued at $399 per educator) is being fully subsidized by Picatinny Arsenal - the U.S. Army's premier research and manufacturing facility located in New Jersey. As part of their commitment to fostering the next generation of STEM innovators and supporting educational excellence throughout the state, Picatinny Arsenal is covering the complete cost for up to 250 qualified New Jersey educators.

This program provides support throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Through this online learning experience, you will gain access to sequential learning modules, weekly design challenges, and real-time support. Educators will develop expertise in platforms like Tinkercad and Fusion 360, along with pedagogical strategies and pre-written lesson plans to foster student agency and innovation in your classroom.

Our program aims to reach educators from diverse backgrounds and school environments, with a particular focus on supporting underserved communities. By participating, you'll be joining a statewide initiative to enhance STEM education and prepare students for future careers in technology, engineering, and innovation.

Program Commitment & Terms

Program Assessment Requirements

As a DoD subsidized program, participants will be required to demonstrate program impact through intake forms, assessments, and quarterly updates.

By submitting this application, you acknowledge and agree to the following program requirements:

• Participating teachers will complete assessment surveys at the beginning, middle, and end of the program.
• Quarterly assessments will be required, including providing evidence of program implementation such as pictures of 3D prints, screenshots of digital designs, and/or STL files.
• Teachers or school systems that fail to complete all required courses and / or assessments will be billed by Emergent Futures Lab, Inc. for the full course fee amount of $399 per teacher.
