Evaluation Criteria

Alignment with the fellowship’s goal • General technical considerations • General governance understandingCollaborative experience Fellowship Goal: Expand a digital artwork or object central to an art practice into a governable space through collaborative experimentation. By governable space, we mean: a digital artwork or object governed through shared decision-making, where the artwork or object holds and reflects collective values. These are digital artworks and objects that serve as active sites of collaboration, decision-making, and power sharing—digital artworks and objects expanded into interfaces where, and through which, governance happens in partnership with the people the digital artwork and object connects, and the environments inhabited. Evaluation: Reviewers will look for visions of how applications imagine their art, engineering, or ethnographic background collaboratively contributing to this goal and evaluate those visions based on experiences with online governance and team collaboration, as well as general technical considerations. See the full fellowship description for more information.
