How to Break In: Pitch Us!

Did you manage to snag a job in the writing industry? Well done! Please tell us everything for a chance to be featured in the How to Break In section of Sub Club's Jobs for Writers newsletter.
We're trying something new this time around: Instead of a Q&A, we'll be taking pitches. Introduce yourself, tell us briefly about your job and how you broke in, and include any links to published works (no big at all if you don't have any clips!). For some pitching best practices, take a look at this pitching interview we did with a seasoned, well, pitcher.
Once your pitch is selected, your essay should be about 500 words. We'll pay $50 or give you a one-year comp for Sub Club, giving you access to all of our paid newsletters and events.
P.S. A "job in the writing industry" covers a wide swath of positions, including social media marketers for publishing companies, slush pile readers for lit mags, adjunct professors of creative writing, and editorial interns for whomever is still hiring editorial interns. We've featured folks who work in communications, radio, and video games. We're open to a lot of writerly and writerly-adjacent things, so send over your idea even if you're not sure.

What's your name?
