Role Details

Reporting to: Programme Leader
Location: Noida (onsite)
The Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme. The post holder will contribute to all stages of the academic cycle, including curriculum delivery, student support, assessment, moderation, quality assurance, enhancement activities and academic administration.
The role requires expertise across entrepreneurship, innovation, business management and enterprise development, together with the ability to teach students from diverse international backgrounds. The Lecturer will act as a Personal Academic Tutor, provide academic guidance and contribute to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
The post holder will normally teach up to 18 contact hours per week and will contribute to curriculum enhancement, scholarly activity, student engagement initiatives and academic quality processes.
The role is particularly suited to individuals with experience of Transnational Education (TNE), international pathway programmes, collaborative partnerships and progression routes into UK and international universities.
The ideal candidate should be available during busy periods and weekends as required, particularly during student induction, assessment, moderation and progression periods. Annual leave may be restricted during peak operational periods.

Key Responsibilities

Learning, Teaching & Assessment

• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials and assessment support sessions across the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme.
• Deliver teaching in accordance with approved Module Specifications, Programme Specifications and assessment regulations.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality teaching materials, lesson plans, presentations, learning activities and assessment guidance.
• Support the effective delivery of the block teaching model adopted by the organization.
• Ensure teaching materials remain current, industry-informed and aligned with partner university expectations.
• Promote active, student-centred and inclusive learning approaches.
• Integrate digital technologies and AI-enabled learning tools appropriately into teaching and learning activities.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and attendance records.
• Monitor student engagement and attendance and escalate concerns through established procedures.

Personal Academic Tutoring and Student Support

• Act as a Personal Academic Tutor for an allocated group of students.
• Conduct regular academic tutorials and progression meetings.
• Support students experiencing academic, welfare or engagement difficulties.
• Refer students to specialist support services where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and action plans.
• Support student retention, progression and achievement initiatives.
• Contribute to induction, orientation and transition activities.

Assessment and Moderation

• Design, administer and mark assessments in accordance with programme requirements.
• Provide constructive and developmental feedback within agreed turnaround times.
• Participate in internal moderation and standardisation activities.
• Participate in assessment review and enhancement activities.
• Contribute to academic integrity processes and investigations where required.
• Maintain accurate assessment and progression records.
• Support assessment boards and progression boards as required.

Quality Assurance and Enhancement

• Participate actively in programme monitoring and review processes.
• Contribute to annual monitoring and enhancement activities.
• Support implementation of recommendations arising from partner university reviews, external moderation and student feedback.
• Contribute to maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
• Engage with peer observation and teaching enhancement initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement of learning, teaching and assessment practices.

Curriculum Development

• Contribute to the review and enhancement of module content and learning materials.
• Support development of new modules, assessments and learning resources.
• Assist with curriculum mapping and articulation activities with university partners.
• Contribute to the development of online, blended and technology-enhanced learning resources.
• Support Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) development and content enhancement activities.

Academic Administration

• Maintain module sites on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
• Upload learning materials, assessments and student guidance documentation in a timely manner.
• Contribute to preparation of programme documentation, handbooks and reports.
• Support data collection for quality monitoring and performance reporting.
• Attend programme meetings, staff meetings and committee meetings as required

External Engagement

• Attend programme meetings, staff meetings and committee meetings as required
• Represent the organization professionally when engaging with partner schools, universities and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to promotional activities and applicant engagement sessions.
• Support progression and articulation discussions with partner universities where required.

Scholarly Activity

• Maintain subject expertise through continuous professional development.
• Engage in scholarly activity relevant to entrepreneurship, innovation and enterprise education.
• Contribute to pedagogic innovation and enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of developments in entrepreneurship education, AI, digital business and emerging technologies.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Programme Leader, Director – Strategy and TNE, or other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements

Trainings & Educations

● Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business Management, Enterprise, Marketing or a related discipline.
● Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
● Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
● Professional qualifications in Entrepreneurship, Innovation or Business Management.

Experience Required (Mandatory)
