City Blossoms is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that cultivates community well-being through creative, youth-driven garden programming. We envision cities with abundant, accessible green spaces where young people thrive and build lifelong connections to the natural world. Through the
Community Green Spaces program, we provide FREE field trips for youth groups at our outdoor garden and farm spaces in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
We work with educators to provide meaningful DCPS-curriculum-aligned field trips to support your classroom learning, provide real-world and hands-on skills, and facilitate creative, exploratory, and curiosity-driven programming! There are variety of themes for field trips, such as:
🪱🍎Compost and Creepy Crawlies
🐝🌺Pollination and Pollinators
🌷👁️Garden Senses
🧑🌾🍽️The Real Cost of Food
and much more!
We facilitate 30–60-minute field trip sessions with a maximum of 15-20 students in each field trip session. Groups larger than this will be split into smaller groups to allow all youth to participate.
Please take a minute to look at our
field trip menu for more information on themes, logistics, and protocol!
