Doing Creative Work from Your Political Body

Friday, 23 October 2026 · 7 - 9pm
BIWOC Rising, Berlin

What does it mean to make, think and work politically from the body, not just from theory?

Join us for an evening of reading and conversation with Myriam D. Diatta, designer, author and independent scholar, around her new book Doing Creative Work from Your Political Body: A Guide and Process for Practice-led Research.

Myriam will be joined by Asmaa Sbou, curator, performance artist, co-founder of Oré Arts e.V. and BIWOC Rising community member.

Together, they’ll explore what it means to do politically engaged creative work while navigating the realities, relationships, histories and systems that shape our practices.

This conversation is for artists, designers, writers, musicians, educators, researchers, cultural workers, organisers and anyone thinking about how the body informs the work we make and the worlds we participate in.

Come for the reading. Stay for the conversation.
