If you are new to nonviolence studies, welcome. Please share how you found this program. If you are returning, please share any comments/reflections about why you are continuing the study.

November is a study of nonviolence in the news and peace journalism. What are your favorite news media sites? Who are your preferred journalists?

The media's focus on violence can be demoralizing and discouraging. Do you have any practice related to reading the news that you would like to share here?

Because we are often asked the question of how the course works, we are sharing this overview as part of the registration process: As a reminder, in this program, each week we share new content on a password protected page on our website for you to study throughout the week, offer de-centralized study group options, and host a weekly office hour from 2-3 pm Pacific on Wednesdays on Zoom. We do not record our office hour. If/when we have guest teachers join us, we do try to record and share those. This course is for your own enrichment, and we encourage you to take on what works for your schedule. Please let us know that you understand the structure of this course, and if you have any questions.

We will confirm your registration within three to five days of your submitting this form. The course begins on November 2.
Please note: Nonviolence Studies is a learning community grounded in curiosity, respect, and constructive dialogue. Registration does not guarantee participation, and the Metta Center reserves the right to decline or discontinue participation when we determine that the program is not a good fit.
