“What Do Men Think?” Survey by Cory Tyler

Thanks for taking time to fill this out. Your honesty is key. There are no right or wrong answers here - I'd like to understand what life actually looks like for men and the ways we handle stress in 2026. It’s completely confidential. Only I will see what you write. I’m not selling anything, just interested in your perspective as a man. Lastly, it’s important to click the “Complete” button at tail end for survey to count.

What is your first name?

Is there another area not named above? If so, please describe it here:

What do you think stress actually looks like day-to-day for men these days? Please speak from your own personal experiences and share as much as you’d like. Example: “Every Sunday night I often get a knot in my stomach thinking about work on Monday” or “My partner and I haven't had a real conversation in months” - the more honest and specific, the better.

When you think about the past month, what do you think weighs on your mind the most that may be a bit stressful?

Is there any action within yourself that you’ve taken to address / manage stress? Example: Exercise (hiking, martial arts), reading books, meditation, journaling, attending workshops, talking with your partner / a trusted friend, etc. If so, was it effective? If it didn’t work, why do you think it didn't stick?

Have you ever sought out the assistance of a third-party; counselor / therapist of any kind? If so, did you find it helpful or not? If you've never looked for anything like that - what do you think has stopped you?

Have you ever sought support in a group setting like a Men’s Group? If not, why not?

Imagine it's 2 years from now and life is genuinely better. You’ve discovered a way to address stress. What are some benefits that you might notice? Example: I feel healthier…I have more energy…my mind is clearer…I’m not as triggered by people or things, etc.

What's the biggest obstacle between you and living that life right now a.k.a. what may get in the way?

One last thing. Would you be up for a 15-minute follow up chat with me? Nothing formal - I’d just appreciate to hear more about your experience being a man and managing stress. I’m not asking you to buy or subscribe to anything. This is research for an online support group for men I plan on launching. If so, please type, Yes. If not, you can write No or leave it blank. Thank you for your honesty, time and presence. Cory Tyler, CT (Certified Trainer with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication)
