AI x Development discussion session - registration form

Missed Situation 2026, or want to hear the ideas again? Join us online as the pitchers from this year's development breakthrough challenge present their ideas and take your questions.

Each pitcher answered this year's challenge: what Indo-Pacific development challenge could AI solve by 2031? Their ideas range from language access in Papua New Guinea to digital citizenship in Palau, and they come from across the region and the sector.

What to expect

Pitchers will share their idea in a brief presentation, followed by a moderated Q&A where you can ask them directly about the problem they're tackling, how their idea works and what it would take to get it off the ground.

Whether you work in development, technology, policy or you're simply curious about what AI could do for the region, come along, listen and bring your questions.

About the AI x Development sessions

The Lab started these sessions in 2025 as an informal space for practitioners to explore what AI means in the development sector. These discussions aimed at non-AI experts, so if you work in development and consider yourself 'AI curious', this is for you!
