Vector Fellowship Mentor Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor for the Vector Fellowship. This is a paid, contract-based role focused on mentoring students through machine learning research projects.

We especially encourage applications from individuals pursuing or holding Master’s or PhD degrees in Computer Science or closely related quantitative fields, particularly those working in artificial intelligence or machine learning.

Mentors are matched with a small group of fellows and provide guidance as students develop their research projects. This typically involves occasional feedback on research ideas, reviewing progress, and helping fellows think through technical challenges or experimental design. The role is intentionally designed to be flexible and low overhead, allowing mentors to contribute meaningful guidance while integrating smoothly with their existing academic or professional schedules.

The Vector Fellowship provides motivated students with a structured pathway into machine learning research, and mentors help ensure fellows receive thoughtful feedback and direction as they progress.

Vector Fellowship welcomes mentors from around the world. Citizenship, nationality, and geographic location are not factors in our selection process. We encourage applicants from all countries and backgrounds to apply.
