Note 1: Submitting this form does not guarantee a grant. The more you tell us about your work, your impact, and why Devcon matters to you, the better we can support you, whether through funding, accommodation, or connections on the ground.
Note 2: The AOC Scholar Grant
We know the real barrier is not ambition. It is cost. Flights, visas, and accommodation price out builders who have already earned their place at the table. We see the problem, and we hear you.
The African Onchain Collective (AOC) is awarding $500 each and Devcon Tickets to 10 African builders attending Devcon Mumbai as AOC Scholars.
To be clear: $500 is a contribution toward your costs, not full coverage. Apply if you have a realistic path to making the trip work and this closes part of the gap.
How it works:
• Apply through this form by October 15 2026 (23:59 WAT)
• Scholars are selected and announced publicly on October 17 2026
• The $500 is disbursed after you arrive in India, on proof of arrival (boarding pass or event check-in)
Why we pay on arrival:
In a previous cycle, funds were disbursed upfront and some recipients did not travel and did not return the money. That money came from donors backing African builders. Paying on arrival protects the pool so it reaches people who actually show up.
Eligibility:
• African builder, developer, designer, researcher, or organizer
• Attending Devcon Mumbai
• Valid passport, with visa process underway or complete
• Able to share a basic travel plan (flight dates, accommodation, visa status)
Mission:
Africa to Devcon, in collaboration with the African Onchain Collective (AOC), is on a mission to help African builders attend Devcon, breaking access barriers and amplifying African innovation on the global stage.
