Print Swap Sign Up Form

Welcome to the third annual international print swap. This year's swap is run by Little Death, the curatorial duo, Katia Dermott (print swap founder) + Micah Sanders.
What do we mean by print? This year's swap is open to artists working in any 2D medium, anywhere in the world. We use the term "print" loosely. This can be an original work or a reproduction, but must be on a 2D surface (paper, metal, fabric, wood, etc) and by you. Essentially anything that the recipient can hang on the wall to display. Be creative! This could be anything from photography to a textile piece. We do not accept AI work at this time. So how does the swap work? Give a print, get a print. Person A sends to Person B sends to Person C and so on. The only cost to participate is the cost of postage. You dictate what areas of the world you're willing to ship to, whether domestic or international. After everyone has received their print, we'll share a digital catalog of all the work swapped and corresponding artist names, websites, and social handles. This year's swap also has an *optional* exhibition and publication element. More on that below. Print Parameters • Made by you. Work made with AI is not permitted. • Image size between 5x5in (12.7x12.7cm) and 14x14in (35.5x35.5cm). • Excellent print quality. This should not be a work print. Please swap something of a quality and condition you would be confident exhibiting. • The swap print must be signed. We recommend signing on the back, but it's up to you. Local Partners This year we're partnering with Paper Tides for all your printing needs. Please visit the hyper link for her print swap specific pricing and paper options. Because we require the swap print to be signed, Paper Tides can not ship directly to your recipient. The good news? You can reuse the shipping materials from Paper Tides to package and ship to your recipient. Important Dates February 1st –– sign ups open February 28th –– sign ups close at 11:59pm EST March 2nd –– receive an email with the name + address you are shipping to March 14th –– shipping + tracking number deadline Early April –– exhibition details + publication acceptances are emailed out –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Optional exhibition opportunity This year we are adding an optional exhibition participation. If you would like your piece included in an all-accepted print swap exhibition, here, in Maine, you can note that in your form submission. If your swap piece is replicable (digital print, screen print, photography, etc), your exhibition piece should be the same image/work as your swap piece. If your swap piece is an original work, you can still participate in the exhibition with a similar piece of your choosing. Either way, the exhibition piece should follow the same size parameters as the swap. You must participate in the swap to be eligible for the exhibition. Work does not have to be framed. The exhibition location will depend on the number of submissions and required wall space. The exhibition will run 3-4 weeks with an opening night event. If you opt into the exhibit, we'll send you an email in early April 2026 with full details for a mid-summer show. International / non-local participation If you would like to participate in the exhibition, but are worried about international shipping costs, you can have your piece printed here in Maine by our partner, Paper Tides. Exhibition prints ordered through them will be directly handed off to us so no shipping costs are involved. We'll send you more info on ordering from Paper Tides in our April exhibition email. Optional publication opportunity This year we are also adding an option to have your swap piece considered for a small juried publication. This will be released later in 2026 and will be available for purchase to all swap participants as well as the public. You must participate in the swap to be eligible for the publication. Notifications for accepted pieces will be sent out in early April. Questions? Where are you willing to ship to?

Please keep in mind that international shipping is often more expensive. Please do not select areas outside of your region if you are not willing to pay associated costs and/or tariffs. In the case that you have selected a country or region that there are no participants for, we will reach out to you via email to confirm whether you would like to ship elsewhere or withdraw from participating. If you are willing to ship places beyond what's listed below, please select Other (we'll have you specify in the next pop-up question). The more places you're willing to ship, the easier our job is and the bigger the pool of recipients is for you.

Upload a .jpg of the piece you will be swapping.

This must be the piece you plan to swap. If your art doesn't exist digitally, this should be a nice scan or photograph of the piece itself. No watermarks. Sized 2000px on the short edge and 72dpi. Please follow our pixel requirement–– if files larger than this are submitted, we may run out of file room and have to pay for increased storage space. Help us avoid this!

I consent to my piece being featured on the Little Death Instagram and/or website.

I would like to be included in the 2026 print swap exhibition.

This will be an all-accepted, non-juried show, in-person, here in Maine. You can read more about this option at the top of the form.
I would like to be included in the 2026 print swap exhibition.
Image dimensions must be within the same parameters as the swap piece. If material border and/or framing adds a few inches beyond the 14x14in max, that is okay. The exhibition piece does not need to be signed if you are printing with our local partner, Paper Tides. Only swap pieces are required to be signed.

Please consider my swap piece for the juried publication.

Read more about the juried publication option at the top of the form.

I would like to volunteer to send an extra print in the case that a participant does not receive a print or receives one that is damaged.

Occasionally a participant withdraws late in the process due to illness, family emergency, or other unforeseen circumstance. In these cases, we look for volunteers to fill in and send a print for them. These volunteers do not receive an additional print, but are hugely appreciated by us, the organizers, and get featured in the first pages of the digital catalog we release. If you answer yes, we will be in touch if/when a gap in our roster needs to be filled! Your same shipping preferences will apply here too.

How did you hear about the print swap?

I have read this form thoroughly and acknowledge the huge amount of effort that goes into volunteer organizing this event. I agree to follow all deadlines and instructions in full. If I am suddenly unable to participate, I agree to notify Little Death immediately.
