You don't have to carry everything alone.
Sometimes being a dad is heavy.
Work. Marriage. Relationships. Parenting. Money. Anger. Loneliness. Faith. Addiction. Divorce. Grief. Trying to be the man your daughter needs while you're still trying to figure some things out yourself.
Sometimes nothing is necessarily ‘wrong’ - you just need another dad to talk to.
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to have the right words.
You don't need to explain everything in this form.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
Just raise your hand.
We'll start there.
We want Beards & Braids to be a place where dads can have real conversations without worrying that their struggles will become group conversation or gossip.
Support requests will be handled as privately and respectfully as reasonably possible and shared only with the people necessary to help respond.
However, we cannot promise absolute confidentiality when someone's immediate safety, a child's safety, abuse, or another serious safety concern may be involved.
Beards & Braids leaders and volunteers are fellow dads and community members — not automatically counselors, doctors, attorneys, crisis professionals, or other licensed professionals.
Sometimes being in your corner means listening.
Sometimes it means connecting you with someone better equipped to help.
Knowing the difference matters.
This form is not monitored as an emergency or crisis service.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource instead of waiting for a response through this form.
