Thank you for your interest in joining The Cornell Daily Sun, the nation's oldest continuously independent college daily! This application covers all departments across the paper. You'll start with a few general questions, then select which departments you'd like to apply to. You'll only see questions for the departments you choose.
No prior experience is required unless otherwise noted.
Tour our historical office with the North Campus Faculty in Residence and Faculty Living Learning Programs as apart of their Iconic Cornell Series on
Friday, August 28th from

Our first information session will be held virtually on Sunday, August 30th, from 4 to 5 PM. We'll also be holding two in-person information sessions in the Kaufmann Auditorium (GSH G64): Tuesday, September 8th from 6 to 7 PM and Wednesday, September 9th from 5 to 6 PM. These are great opportunities to learn about our departments and speak directly to editors.
You can also find us tabling by Ho Plaza on Friday, September 11th, from 11 AM to 2 PM.
For something more relaxed, join us for Picnic with The Sun(set) on Saturday, August 29th, from 5 to 7 PM on the Willard Straight Hall Terrace. It's a casual outdoor gathering open to current editors, staffers and anyone considering joining, come reconnect with returning staff or meet the board over food and music.

Once classes begin, we'll also be opening up "off the record chats" with our editors and may have additional recruitment announcements, so keep an eye out.
