A better way to split a restaurant bill? Tell me what works

In the past 6 months, have you split a restaurant or bar bill with a group where people ordered different things?

One person works it out in their head or on a calculator

One person pays and everyone sends their share later (UPI, Venmo, etc.)

We just split the total evenly regardless of who had what

Tap that person, then uncheck the wine from their items (start from the person)

Tap the wine, then remove that person from it (start from the dish)
