The Broomfield Rotary Charitable Foundation (BRCF) awards grants that advance its charitable and educational mission. These grants support initiatives that provide and promote community service, humanitarian aid, assistance to the poor and underprivileged, education, health, intergenerational understanding, goodwill, and peace—both within Broomfield, Colorado, and internationally. In addition, BRCF has established the Police and Fire Fund to benefit the families of Broomfield police officers and firefighters who are injured or killed in the line of duty. Applications for this fund must be submitted through the Broomfield Police Department or the North Metro Fire and Rescue District.
Certain requests will not be considered, including those for general overhead expenses, capital campaigns, grants to individuals, trip or event sponsorships, projects intended to influence legislation or elections, and grants for religious purposes. However, activities that otherwise qualify and are supported by religious organizations may still be eligible.
It is important to note that submitting a grant application does not obligate BRCF to provide funding. Likewise, receiving a grant on one occasion does not guarantee future support. Because BRCF consistently receives more requests than it can fund, many worthy applications may be denied or only partially funded. All decisions are made at the discretion of the BRCF Board of Directors, based on factors such as the number, size, and merit of requests received at any given time. All grant requests must be submitted in writing on the requesting organization’s letterhead (if available). Applicants should provide all requested information or explain why certain details are unavailable or not relevant. Requests should be concise, and typed applications are strongly preferred to ensure clarity and ease of review.
