Stop beneath the cover of the trees and listen carefully. You study the broken branches, disturbed earth and sounds around you, determined to understand what is hunting you before deciding how to respond.

Continue walking as though you have noticed nothing, but quietly change your route. You take an unexpected path through the forest, watching for signs that your pursuer has adjusted its course to follow you.

raw your weapon and turn to face whatever lurks in the shadows. You refuse to spend another moment being hunted. If something intends to threaten you, it will have to confront you openly.

Search for a position you can defend, somewhere with a clear view of the surrounding forest and limited ways to approach. You prepare yourself for a long wait, trusting that patience and preparation will give you the advantage when the threat finally reveals itself.

01 — THE THREATYou are travelling through the Howling Vale when you realise something is following you.You have no idea what it is.What do you do?

Whether keeping their secret will truly protect them. You care deeply for this person, but you cannot ignore the possibility that silence might leave them facing something far worse. You would rather help them confront the danger than offer a promise that could ultimately harm them.

Whether the truth belongs to you to reveal at all. They trusted you with something that could destroy their life, and you refuse to betray that confidence simply because carrying it makes you uncomfortable. Some truths are not yours to share.

Whether their actions could place innocent people in danger. Your loyalty to someone you love is fierce, but it cannot come at the cost of others' safety. Before promising anything, you need to understand who else might suffer if the truth remains buried.

Whether they have given you enough reason to trust their account. You love them, but affection does not make someone incapable of deception. You would ask difficult questions and seek the missing details before deciding whether their secret deserves your protection.

02 — THE SECRETSomeone you love tells you a secret that could place them in danger if it became known. They ask you never to tell anyone. What matters most to you?

Find a way to open it. Someone deliberately concealed this place, and the fresh markings suggest its secrets may not be as forgotten as everyone believes. You cannot ignore the possibility that something important is being kept from your Clan, even if uncovering it means taking a risk.

Leave the door undisturbed. Your ancestors may have sealed it for reasons that have been lost to time, and you are unwilling to disregard their judgement simply to satisfy your curiosity. Some boundaries deserve to be respected, even when their purpose is no longer understood.

Return to the surface and gather those you trust most. Whatever waits beyond the door could threaten your entire Clan, and you refuse to make such a dangerous decision alone. You would rather face the unknown alongside people whose judgement and loyalty you trust.

Study the door before attempting anything. You examine the carvings, investigate the unusual lock and search for references to the symbols in older records. Understanding who built it, and why, may reveal far more than forcing it open ever could.

03 — THE DOORBeneath your home, you discover an ancient locked door that no one seems to know exists. What is your first instinct?

Ask them to explain everything. Their betrayal has wounded you deeply, but you need to understand what drove someone you trusted to make such a choice. Whether it was fear, desperation or something else entirely, you cannot decide what comes next without hearing the truth.

Give them an opportunity to make amends, but refuse to offer your trust so easily. You believe people can change, yet forgiveness does not erase the consequences of their actions. If they truly regret what happened, they will have to prove it through what they do next.

Turn your back on them. Whatever their reasons, they knowingly endangered people who once considered them family. You will not allow sentiment to weaken the boundaries that protect you and your Clan. Some betrayals cannot be undon

Let them believe you have accepted their apology. You keep your anger hidden and allow them to think your trust has been restored, but quietly begin investigating who received the information and what else they may be concealing. You refuse to be deceived twice.

04 — THE BETRAYALQuestion text:Someone you trusted has betrayed you.Now they stand before you asking for a second chance. What do you do?

Offer the experienced warrior the opportunity to take command. You recognise that leadership is not about proving yourself, and if their knowledge gives the group a better chance of survival, you are willing to step aside. Your pride matters far less than bringing everyone home safely.

Maintain your position as leader and make the decision you believe is right. You were entrusted with this responsibility for a reason, and you will not abandon it simply because someone questions your experience. You listen to the warrior's concerns, assign roles according to everyone's strengths and lead the group along the route you judge safest.

Gather the group and allow everyone to voice their concerns before deciding together. Each person will face the consequences of the journey, and you believe their perspectives deserve to be heard. A pack is strongest when its members trust one another, not when they blindly follow whoever holds authority.

Retain command, but delay the decision long enough to investigate both routes. You question the veteran about their previous journeys, study the terrain and prepare contingency plans for either path. Experience is valuable, but you refuse to rely on instinct or reputation when careful preparation could prevent disaster.
