RESIDENT STORYTELLER

Resident Storyteller isn't really about booking another brand shoot. I want to know your story.

It's about having someone who gets to know your business, understands what makes it yours, and keeps showing up to tell the story.

So before we talk about shoots, dates or content, I want to get to know the human being behind the business.

There are no right answers here. You don't need a polished brand story. You don't need to know exactly what you want me to photograph.

Just tell me what's true.

YOUR BUSINESS

What's your name?

What's your business called?

Where are you based?

Send me your website and/or Instagram.

What do you actually do? Tell me like you're explaining it to someone you really like.

How long have you been doing it?

How did this business begin?

Why does this business exist?

THE HUMAN BEHIND IT

Who are you outside of your business?

What do you love?

What are you really good at?

What are you absolutely NOT good at?

What makes you different from other people doing something similar?

What parts of yourself have you brought into your business? And which parts have you been hiding?

THE STORY

What has your business been through?

What have you learned the hard way?

Is there something about your business that people don't understand from looking at the outside?

What's the story you wish more people knew?

If I spent a day with you, what would I see that I could never understand from your website?

YOUR PEOPLE

Who do you really want to work with?

What do your favourite clients have in common?

What do they see in you that other people might not?

Who do you want more of?

And who probably isn't your person?

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE KNOWN FOR?

"I'd send you to them because ______."

What do you want people to remember about you?

What do you think you're currently known for?

Is that the same as what you WANT to be known for?

WHAT SHOULD I SEE?

What parts of your business would you love me to see?

Where does the magic actually happen?

Who needs to be in the story?

Are there places, seasons, events or moments throughout the year that are important to your business?

Is there anything you've always wanted photographed or filmed but haven't known how to capture?

THE BIGGER PICTURE

If we worked together for a year, what would you love to have at the end of it?

What would having a Resident Storyteller actually make easier for you?

What do you currently struggle with when it comes to showing up online?

What do you wish you had more time to communicate?

AND FINALLY...

Why Resident Storyteller?

Why now?

Is there anything else you think I should know before we talk?

If your business was a person, what would they be like?

Once I've read your application, I'll come back to you if I think we're a good fit and we'll have a proper conversation!

Resident Storyteller isn't for everyone, and that's the point.

I want to work with businesses where there is something worth telling.

Something human.

Something with a pulse!!

Something that deserves to be recognised.
