The Summer Oboe Studio is a three-day intensive course for oboists approximately aged 10 to 28, bringing together young musicians at different stages of their development in a focused yet supportive environment. The program offers space both for individual growth and for collaborative music-making.
Applicants are asked to provide a brief description of their musical background, including how long they have been playing the oboe, the ensembles they participate in, and any relevant experience and achievements. Please also include a short list of the repertoire you have worked on during the past several months.
As part of the application, candidates are required to submit a short video recording (with a total duration of approximately five minutes) featuring two contrasting pieces or excerpts from two different works. The recording may consist of several separate takes, but it should be combined into a single video file and submitted as a link uploaded to YouTube or Google Drive.
In the video, applicants are also invited to briefly speak about their musical interests — what they enjoy most about making music, what they hope to gain from the course, and what draws them to the oboe.
Here you may describe if you require a scholarship, the desired amount of financial support, as well as any other comments you would like to make.
