This workshop is for grassroots collectives and creatives with migratory backgrounds, especially POC. The workshop will start with a guided self-massage warm-up that leads us to remap our acupressure points, sensing the space inside the body at the moment created by our co-presence. We will present and introduce the food mapping practice from @pushinghands.collective, searching the origins and migrations of vegetables, spices, and recipes, uncovering the intricate relationships between food, geography, and personal history. The body of fruits and vegetables becomes a map, charting speculative geographies shaped by memory, migration, and interpersonal connection.
You are invited to send pictures of fruit and vegetables via registration link or pick one at the spot to create an embodied map of their own. After that, we will improvise a relational map together from the individual ones to transform our co-spatiality by losing or catching our memories in a creative way.
