Membership fee - £20 per year

This fee includes a £4.00 membership fee paid to our national organisation, the Third Age Trust (TAT)which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover. If a member joins between December 1st and March 31st, the reduced fee is £10.00

Methods of payment

1. Bank transfer: to 'Upper Eden' - Sort code: 01-02-17, Account Number: 23210427. Use your initials and surname as the reference. This is the preferred method.

2. Cash or cheque: payable to 'Upper Eden' - can be paid at a monthly meeting.

3. If you cannot pay by BACS and do not attend the monthly meetings, please contact the Membership Secretary on 07910 481847 or westow57@gmail.com

Terms and conditions of membership

All members must:

* abide by the principles of the u3a movement

* always act in the best interest of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute

* abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution

* always treat fellow members with respect and courtesy

* comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee

* advise the committee of any changes in your personal details

* abide by the Member Code of Conduct

Upper Eden u3a processes member information so that we can keep you informed about events, interest groups and activities as part of your membership. Upper Eden u3a's lawful basis for collecting this information is a legitimate interest. In processing your information, Upper Eden u3a will:

* store it securely

* use it to communicate with you as a u3a member

* share your information with the co-ordinators of the groups in which you participate.

* send you general information about the Third Age Trust (the national organisation to which all u3as are affiliated)

Consents

TAM - as part of your membership with Upper Eden u3a, you are entitled to receive the Third Age Trust magazine, 'Third Age Matters' (TAM) - five magazines per year. Are you happy to be added to the direct mailing list for the TAM? This will entail your details being shared with a third party to enable the postage to your home address.

Photographs - occasionally trustees, group co-ordinators or event organisers may wish to take photographs of u3a activities. These can help to promote our group and to celebrate successes. However, if you do not wish to have your photograph taken (although you may agree to your work being shared) then please speak to the respective photographer at the time.
