Seoul Labor History Walk w/ local Korean friends

Join us for a unique experience through central Seoul, as we explore the untold history of workers that have built up this bustling city. We will be visiting important sites of resistance where workers have struggled for their rights.

βœ”οΈ Course: - Pyeonghwa Market (Dongdaemun Station) - Gwangjang Market - Cheonggyecheon - Euljiro Printing Alley - Jeon Tae-il Memorial Museum (Jongno 3-ga Station)
βœ”οΈ Format: In-person walking tour + simultaneous audio via Zoom
βœ”οΈ What to Bring - Required: headphones, cellphone with data plan, Zoom app - umbrella, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, tumbler

About the Host This tour is run by Pastelling English, an English language school based in Seoul that strives to take a critical, decolonial approach to English education. The tour will be run in English and led by participants from Minjoo & Jello, who are learning English at Pastelling English. This history walk is part of their final class project. They are not professional guides but showing you around the sites as your local Korean friends!

10,000 won and up (pay what you can)
This event is donation-based and not for profit. The fee is to cover a snack from Gwangjang Market and a drink (up to 6,000 won). Extra funds will be donated to the Jeon Taeil Medical Center, which supports workers and specializes in work-related injuries. Please pay by bank transfer to secure your spot. βœ”οΈŽ If unable to make a Korean bank transfer, you can also pay in cash on the day of the event, but bank transfer is preferred.
