Our Terms & Conditions

1. General Principles

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between afterSundays ("we," "us," or "the Platform") and the user ("you"). By creating an account or joining our waitlist, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not access our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time; continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

2. Eligibility and Account Safety

To maintain a secure and intentional community, you warrant that:

Individual Status: You are a natural person (not a business entity) and at least 18 years of age.

Legal Capacity: You have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract.

Safety Record: You have no history of convictions for violent or sexual offenses and do not pose a threat to the safety or well-being of other community members.

Accurate Data: All information provided—including your legal name, age, and photo—is truthful and kept up to date.

3. Description of Services

afterSundays provides a social matching service that organizes weekly dinners for groups of six individuals based on shared faith and compatibility.

No Guarantees: While we strive for meaningful connections, we do not guarantee specific gender ratios, age ranges, or social compatibility at any given table.

Third Space Focus: Our goal is to connect you with believers outside of your immediate church circle; however, we do not guarantee that you will not meet people you have encountered previously.

4. Dinner Logistics and Reservations

The Venue: We facilitate reservations at local dining establishments. We are a matching service, not a food service provider. Any issues regarding food quality, service, or dietary cross-contamination are the sole responsibility of the restaurant.

Costs: The fee paid to afterSundays covers the matching and reservation service only. The cost of your meal, drinks, tax, and gratuity is your sole responsibility and must be paid directly to the restaurant at the time of the event.

Attendance: You must attend dinners alone. Bringing "plus-ones" or uninvited guests is strictly prohibited to preserve the group dynamic.

5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

Reliability is the foundation of our community.

Standard Cancellation: You may cancel a reservation within the timeframe specified in the app.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made after the cutoff period are non-refundable.

No-Shows: If you fail to attend a dinner without notice, you impact five other people. Repeated no-shows (two or more) may result in a permanent ban from the Platform to protect the experience for other users.

6. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use afterSundays in a manner consistent with Christian values of respect and integrity. You shall not:

Use the Platform for commercial solicitation, MLM recruitment, or unauthorized advertising.

Harass, bully, or stalk other members during or after a dinner event.

Share private information or photos of other participants without their explicit consent.

Create multiple accounts or attempt to bypass a suspension.

7. Limitation of Liability

afterSundays is a facilitator of social interactions.

Personal Responsibility: You are responsible for your own safety and conduct during dinners. We are not liable for any disputes, damages, or injuries arising from interactions between users, whether on the Platform or in person.

Indirect Damages: In no event shall afterSundays be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services.

8. Termination

By You: You may delete your account or cancel your subscription at any time via the app settings.

By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is currently operating (United States and Canada). Any disputes shall be settled through amicable mediation before pursuing legal action in competent courts.

10. Child Safety Standards

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior involving the exploitation of minors. Any such activity will result in immediate termination and a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or local law enforcement.
