Terms of Use

Welcome to Arin. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Arin mobile application and related services (“Arin,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By creating an account or using Arin, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Arin.

By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years old.

All information you provide is accurate and complete.

You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

How Arin Works

Arin is a fitness accountability platform that allows users to create personal fitness challenges based on measurable activity goals, including:

Steps

Active calories burned

Distance completed

Users voluntarily commit their own funds as motivation to complete their chosen challenge.

Arin is designed to encourage accountability and does not guarantee weight loss, fitness improvements, athletic performance, or any particular health outcome.

Challenge Verification

Challenge completion is determined using activity information submitted through Arin, including live verification photos and other supported verification methods.

Verification may be performed manually, through automated systems, or a combination of both.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring submitted information is authentic, accurate, complete, and clearly visible.

Arin reserves the right to:

Request additional verification

Reject unverifiable submissions

Reject fraudulent or manipulated submissions

Invalidate challenge results

Suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse or fraud

Challenge decisions are made in accordance with the Arin Challenge Rules, which form part of these Terms.

Payments

Creating an Arin account is free.

Certain features require payment through Stripe or another authorized payment processor.

By submitting payment, you authorize Arin and its payment processor to charge the applicable amounts associated with your challenge.

Payment processing is handled securely by third-party providers.

Arin does not store your complete payment credentials.

Rules regarding commitment funds, refunds, payouts, challenge outcomes, and payment timing are governed by the Arin Challenge Rules and Payout Policy.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information

Submit authentic verification data

Maintain the security of your account

Comply with applicable laws

Use Arin only for its intended purpose

You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

Submit false, manipulated, misleading, or fraudulent verification data

Attempt to manipulate challenge outcomes

Use bots, automation, exploits, or unauthorized software

Circumvent payment systems or platform fees

Access another person’s account

Interfere with the operation or security of Arin

Harass, threaten, or abuse other users

Engage in any unlawful activity while using Arin

Violation of these Terms may result in suspension, termination, cancellation of challenges, forfeiture of challenge eligibility, or other action deemed appropriate by Arin.

Third-Party Services

Arin relies on third-party providers to operate certain features, including payment processing, authentication, cloud infrastructure, analytics, and verification technologies.

We are not responsible for outages, delays, interruptions, or errors caused by these third-party services.

Health Disclaimer

Arin is not a medical provider.

Nothing within Arin constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.

Participation in fitness activities is entirely at your own risk.

Account Suspension & Termination

Arin may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe a user has:

Violated these Terms

Attempted fraud

Manipulated challenge verification

Abused the platform

Created security risks for Arin or other users

Termination of an account does not automatically entitle a user to refunds or restoration of challenge funds.

Limitation of Liability

Arin is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arin shall not be liable for:

Injuries or health complications

Inaccurate activity tracking

Lost or delayed verification submissions

Technical failures

Service interruptions

Lost data

Payment processor delays

Indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date above.

Continued use of Arin after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
