Back-end Automation Developer

We’re looking for a quality-driven, hard-working, and experienced Back-end Automation Developer who thrives in high-growth environments and takes full ownership of delivering successful projects for our clients.
Map out project plans and solution architectures, working closely with the Team Lead to translate client needs into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
Design, build and maintain back-end automations, leveraging platforms like n8n (if possible), as well custom code within VSCode.
Integrate third-party tools and services using their respective APIs, ensuring reliability, performance, and security (e.g., AWS Lambda).
Integrate and set up (vector) databases, as well as leverage AI components (primarily LLMs; often without extensive fine-tuning or traditional ML) where applicable.
Take ownership of automation workflows end-to-end, from concept and implementation to testing, deployment, and iteration.
Document architectures, workflows, and integrations to support long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.
3+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer (coding experience is a must)
1–2+ years of hands-on experience working with AI infrastructure and related systems.
Experience in designing and maintaining scalable back-end systems, automations, and integrations.
Comfortable working with documented APIs, third-party services, and database technologies (including vector databases).
Fluent working with AI-assisted coding tools, such as Claude Code.
Enjoys communicating professionaly and clearly with clients, is responsive, reliable and invested in their clients succes, and likes solving real-world problems.
Thrives in a fast-paced and high-ownersip environment, takes ownerships to solve problems, is flexible and get's things done effectively.
Available to work during Dutch office hours (8:00–18:00 Amsterdam time).
Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
