We are exploring the possibility of creating a new community workshop and makerspace in Ayr town centre, serving people across Ayrshire and the surrounding areas.
The space could provide shared tools, equipment and workspace for practical, creative and technical projects. It could also host workshops, community activities, repair events and opportunities for people to learn from one another.
This survey is intended to help us understand whether there is local interest, how people might use such a space, and what would make it useful and accessible.
The project is still at an early stage, and no final decisions have been made. The name 'Southwest Scotland Hackspace' is still very provisional.
The survey should take around five minutes to complete.
