Girlhood Expert Application

Who are Girlhood experts?

Experts are members who've offered to share their knowledge and help other women in the community 1:1. Think of it as your shortcut to getting unstuck.

Every expert has been a Girlhood member first. They know how this community works and what kind of support actually moves the needle.

This is for members who have real experience in a specific area (marketing, AI, recruiting, fundraising, design, etc.) and want to give back to women earlier in their journey.

Flexibility on your terms
- You choose how much time you offer per month
- You can pause anytime, no questions asked
- You can offer paid mentorship if you'd like

What experts do

Share your expertise (the main thing)
- Be available for 1:1 conversations when members reach out
- Offer quick advice via Slack DM
- Review work or give async feedback when you can

Show up authentically
- Respond to members within a reasonable timeframe
- Be honest about what you can and can't help with
- Keep all conversations confidential

Nice to haves (these would be amazing if you have the bandwidth, but totally optional)
- Speak at a Girlhood event or host a workshop
- Contribute resources to our library
- Help us identify other women who'd be great experts
- Write a short post or guide on your area of expertise

Commitment level

You choose
- 1-2 conversations per month is fine
- Some experts offer more, some offer less
- You can always pause if life gets busy

We ask experts to:
- Respond when members reach out (within a few days is great)
- Be honest about availability
- Give what feels generous, not draining

Who we're looking for

- Members with real expertise in a specific area (not theoretical)
- Women who are generous with their knowledge
- Supportive, not self-promotional
- Diverse industries and backgrounds so members can find the right fit

You don't need 20 years of experience. You need specific knowledge or skills that other women can benefit from. If you've done something, you can help someone earlier in the journey.

A few things to know

We ask members reaching out to experts to:
- Be specific about what they need
- Respect your time
- Follow up with a thank you
- Not abuse access (no spam, no constant requests)
